The Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) was designed to replace the All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment (ALICE) and Integrated Individual Fighting System (IIFS) including the Enhanced Tactical Load-Bearing Vest.

The Interlocking Attachment System is used to attach pockets to the vest, packs, and waist belt. This system is a patented design and is not allowed for commercial sale without a license. There are no restrictions on the sale of this system under signed contracts with Federal agencies.
